Brett Hershey
Brett is an AmSAT-certified Alexander Technique Instructor and Consultant specializing in psychophysical re-education. He earned a B.A. from Williams College and certification from the Alexander Technique Institute in Los Angeles. Brett is highly effective at decreasing discomfort, pain and negative energy while increasing performance quality, power and charisma.
His passion: to dissolve all that is in the way of performers connecting with themselves, their characters and the audience. Actors are often stuck in their narrow band of personal habits that prevent them from being free to do what they know is possible. They need to become aware of and learn to dissolve negative habits of excess tension/collapse so that they can increase their range, maximize their power and allow their charisma to emanate.
In addition to his private practice and consulting work, Brett is an Adjunct Professor of Theater at Relativity School, Director of the Healthy Back program at UCLA as well as on staff at the School for Theatre Creators.
