Helen is from the United Kingdom, and despite five years living and working in Los Angeles she still proudly bears the accent! Before moving here to focus on film and TV (and, as it turns out, video games), she worked extensively in theater in the UK, as an actress, physical performer and puppeteer. This combination of skills led her to join entertainment giant Cirque du Soleil in 2015, and she toured with them non-stop for four years. She has since returned to them to work as a visiting director. She moved to Los Angeles straight after that tour, and JRS was one of her first stops in town. It has since been at the heart of her training, professional development and community. Helen is a teaching assistant to John in Toolshop and Jeff in Practicum, and is a regular in John’s Tuesday night class. Approaching character through movement is her first love and special sauce.
