Katie Baker is a California native and graduated magna cum laude from USC’s School of Dramatic Arts, where she was awarded the Jack Nicholson Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Actor. In 2018 she found John Rosenfeld Studios when acting on a College Humor show with faculty member, Alex Jennings. Right upon joining the studio she booked her first Netflix guest star role and quickly realized that maybe college left some gaps in her film/tv education. Getting back into weekly class was humbling, challenging, and provided her with a community of working actors that she was missing in her process. Katie is a teacher’s assistant to Ryan Garcia and takes ongoing class with John every Tuesday. She’s since worked on shows and movies for AppleTV+, HBOMax, and Netflix, has booked over 10 national commercials and regularly performs with her sketch team at Flappers Comedy and UCB. Katie loves to create a bold character in her self tapes with costumes, environment, movement, rhythm, and she strives to push others to make strong choices and not be limited by the frame and isolation of a self tape audition world.
